  1. oh dude tanQ so much … I’ve been waiting 1 year for ur hevc encodes… its great . please continue

  2. People seem happy to see x265 HEVC encoding. All I want to say is PLEASE PLEASE don’t replace x264 yet!!!

  3. Why is the bitrate lower compared to the x264 version? Why not keep the same quality as the x264 but just in 265? Please help me understand this.

    • The whole point of using HEVC/X265 is to reduce file size than X264 but still maintain good video quality! So be happy!!!

      Pete :”)

      • LOL! That’s not really the whole point. Just compare RMTeam encodes with Joybell’s encodes and you’ll see the whole point. A little increase in size will guarantee better quality always.

  4. I agree with you Hunom… My laptop is too old to play x265 ๐Ÿ™ I have tried but it didn’t work well. I hope this format won’t replace the x264 any soon.. Anyway, thanks MKVCage for being so awesome!! This site is vital for my sanity ๐Ÿ˜›

  5. I want to add another voice to the “please don’t replace x264 encodes” camp.

  6. hi cage
thanks for HEVC, but please keep the x264 work ,the encode ,x265 not yet all materials read this format

    • wELL, file size if its a rip of a rip (BlurayRip new encode).
But if if is a Bluray (disc) rip, there are studies that says that some colours, like red, or warm colours come out more visible.

But theres a second option for who has Tv’s (lcd – led) that dont support HEVC. Buy an HDMI cable and plug in in ure HDMI connection (TV and PC), and u can pass the video to ure TV.

3rd , u dont need no player to see in PC, just a good pack of codecs (K-lite mega pack). ๐Ÿ˜›

  7. Me took a look on the Mediainfo and noticed the Audio has just 64.0 Kbps Bit Rate, take into account that is a very low quality audio for an Bluray rip.

  8. You could make this rip even better if you would have increased either video bitrate or 5.1 channel sound.
Always make sure to restrict your output file between 950MB to 1GB.

    • No. No need of 5.1 sound. Stereo at 110 -120 kbps max will do. There is no point in increasing file size! But I agree 64 Kbps is too low.

      • This is a 800MB rip. That means we still have 200MB Available so we can either improve the video quality or Audio. I don’t think viewers would complain. Downloading 200MB more is not a big deal

  9. For those who are unable to play video Plese install MPC-HC. VLC will play HEVC but consume lot of processor and may be with lagging but MPC-HC will paly it smoothly without consuming extra CPU.

  10. Thank you guys for your first HEVC. I have always been concered about storage space with all the 1 GB + encodes. So never stop with HEVC! The future devices will support it. There is no other way. You just have to upgrade people. So be grateful!

    Pete :”)

  11. I don’t mind HEVC as long as x264 movies keep coming.

My TV can’t play these x265 videos.

  12. I guess you are right. HEVC/x265 codec still requires refinement. I think it’s still in the developmental phase. The backgrounds seen in this movie encode pixelates way more than your regular AVC/x264 encodes. Maybe it can be avoided my increasing the file size a bit or maybe be must be patient & wait till the codec is refined for usage. Thanks for the trial though. Appreciate it.

  13. I’m having problem with seeking in MPC-HC. U is i7-4770 and the video plays smooth. But when I use the “seekbar” to jump, it freezes up for a very long time.
(Downloaded the BRrip instead and should be fine for Creed!)

  14. Great! But keep the file size around 1GB at least and don’t compromise with the bitrates. Please consider doing more & more foreign films in HEVC ๐Ÿ™‚

  15. Hi
im usually use PSA x265 encodes for tv series. and i want to tell u i had to many lags when i was watching ur encode. i dont know why but i test it with 4 players(km player pot player mpchc and vlc) and it still had lags. there is a problem…

  16. on second thought..its early to replace x264. i had a hard time playing the movie even on dual core processor PC with lav filter.
